Friends of Pelham PTA
All about us...
Our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is called Friends of Pelham. We are a small independent charity that raises funds for the education of the children at the school. The money that we provide buys equipment, resources and experiences that the school budget does not cover, and this makes a huge difference to what children and teachers can do.
Friends of Pelham organises many social events for the school. These don't just raise funds, they help to build the great sense of community that is part of our school’s unique character. Highlights include the Welcome Evening, Christmas and Summer Fairs, Quiz nights for adults and children and a Christmas Shopping event for the children. The PTA also runs smaller activities across the year, such as cake sales, used uniform sales, movie nights and charity challenges. In 2021/22, the PTA raised over £40,000 which has contributed towards a range of things, including coaches for school trips, reading books, library equipment, refurbishment of the school hall and a new phonics system.
The PTA is run by parent volunteers and relies upon the generosity and goodwill of parents, carers and teachers to make things happen. All parents, carers, teachers and support staff are members of the PTA and we’d encourage everyone to get involved in some way over your time at the school. Many hands make light work, and there’s every chance that you’ll find it an enjoyable and satisfying experience too.
- Come along to the next PTA meeting to share your ideas - Check the calendar for the date and time of the next meeting - and why not bring a friend too!
- Volunteer to help at an event - there are many ways to do this from running a stall to staffing the bar, from writing a quiz to baking a cake to playing Santa. It needn’t be a big commitment; even an hour at an event makes a difference.

Stikins Labels
The amount of unlabelled lost property left over at the end of last term was huge! The PTA has registered with Stikins name labels and if you order labels using the Pelham fundraising code at checkout the school gets some commission.
The labels are very easy to apply. They stick to wash care labels in clothes and directly to other items such as water bottles. You can order them here https://www.stikins.co.uk/name-labels/
If you use the code 15588 at checkout the commission will be automatically applied.
